It started out as a board game called “The Landlords” where you bought a space on the board and then charged rent when a player landed on it, it was a slow game, her name was Lizzie Maggie and she patented it in 1904. It is the only board game to ever have been given a patent. Subsequently, the Parker Bros. took her idea and ran with it, and we all know the name of that game. Now, thanks to Lizzie we are still running. “You already have a good idea what to do, you put your play piece on the board roll the dice and move to interact with the new space. That was done, not because I lack imagination, but why reinvent the wheel, you know the board game, but what most young people don’t know is the money game, and here you will be introduced to aspects of it. The “it part” is Finance as “it” relates to Corporations and your protection as a director of a corporation also called a company. So whats so important about a Company besides limiting your liability.
