BigBoardRaiders

More than 500 million people have played this style of boardgame.  It started out as a board game called “The Landlords” where you bought a space on the board and then charged rent when a player landed on it, it was a slow game, her name was Lizzie Maggie and she patented it in 1904. It is the only board game to ever have been given a patent. Subsequently, the Parker Bros. took her idea and ran with it, and we all know the name of that game.  Now, thanks to Lizzie we are still running.  “You already have a good idea what to do, you put your play piece on the board roll the dice and move to  interact with the new space. That was done, not because I lack imagination,  but why reinvent the wheel, you know the board game, but what most young people don’t know is the money game, and here you will be introduced to aspects of it. The “it part” is Finance as “it” relates to Corporations and your protection as a director of a corporation also called a company. So whats so important about a Company besides limiting your liability. Well, you are insulated from unintended screw-ups, you have control over how much tax you pay and you can borrow from your Company, as a director’s loan at 1% interest and you can postpone paying back the loan indefinitely with a perpetual bookkeeping entry, try that at the bank.  If you go to a business school they teach you these  mechanics and how to minimize taxes legally using corporations. Taxation is the oldest kind of enslavement. So you can kiss your bosses butt and see where that goes or take control of the money you earn. If you pay less taxes, that equates to an afluent lifestyle. The only people who think paying taxes is OK are people whos’ pay cheques depend on you paying taxes. Police, teachers, politicians and civil servants. In my working life as a tax guy, I was amazed at the level of ignorance people have with finance. Hopefully you figure it out. This game is meant to be an eye opener for people just beginning their life, a pointer toward prosperity.
